1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using the MyLanGo website, mobile experiences, registration flows, course catalogue, or any related services operated under the MyLanGo brand (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of use and our Privacy policy and Cookies policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
Where you use the Services on behalf of an organisation (for example, an employer or school), you represent that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
2. Who we are
The Services are operated by the legal entity responsible for the MyLanGo platform (“MyLanGo”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Course delivery, enrolment, assessments, certificates, and learner accounts may be provided or hosted in whole or in part through third-party learning platforms (such as Open edX or other learning management systems) that we integrate with (“LMS”). Those platforms may impose additional terms, acceptable-use rules, and privacy notices that apply when you use them.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least the age of digital consent applicable in your jurisdiction (and in any event at least 16 years old unless a higher minimum applies locally) to create an account or enter into binding transactions. If you are under the age of majority, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms on your behalf where required by law.
You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account unless you notify us promptly of unauthorised use using the contact details below.
4. Licence to use the Services
Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the public and authenticated portions of the Services for personal, non-commercial learning purposes, or for purposes expressly authorised in writing between you and us (for example, under an enterprise agreement).
You must not:
- copy, scrape, mine, or systematically harvest content or data except as allowed by applicable law or with our prior written consent;
- circumvent technical measures, probe or test vulnerabilities, or interfere with the integrity or performance of the Services;
- upload malware, spam, or unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, or sexually explicit material;
- impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation, or use the Services to commit fraud or infringe third-party rights;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit course materials or platform access except as expressly permitted.
5. Content, courses, and intellectual property
The Services may display text, graphics, videos, assessments, software, trademarks, and other materials (“Content”). Except where we state otherwise, MyLanGo and its licensors own the platform Content and branding. Course materials may be owned by MyLanGo, partner institutions, instructors, or licensors; all rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Unless a course licence or separate agreement expressly allows broader use, you may view and use enrolled course materials only for your own learning during access we provide. You must not redistribute, publicly perform, or create derivative works from Content except as permitted by law or explicit licence.
If you submit feedback, reviews, forum posts, or other user contributions, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, reproduce, and display that content to operate, improve, and promote the Services, subject to our Privacy policy.
6. Fees, trials, and promotions
Some offerings may be free; others may require payment, vouchers, or institutional enrolment. Prices, taxes, currency, refund windows, and transfer rules will be presented at checkout or in your order confirmation where purchases are offered. We may change pricing for future purchases with reasonable notice where required by law.
7. Third-party services and links
The Services may link to or embed third-party websites, payment providers, analytics tools, identity providers, or the LMS. We do not control third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Services and Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Educational Content is for general learning only. It does not constitute professional, medical, legal, financial, or other regulated advice. You should seek qualified professionals where appropriate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MyLanGo and its directors, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability arising from these terms or the Services will be limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for the Services giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the event, or (b) a reasonable statutory minimum where applicable. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
10. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MyLanGo and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services or an account if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, pose a security risk, or must comply with law or requests from competent authorities. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution) will survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence apply and cannot be waived. Courts located in Myanmar will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory venue rules that apply to you as a consumer.
Before commencing court proceedings, you agree to contact us using the details below and attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith for at least thirty (30) days.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where changes are material and we have your contact details, we will provide reasonable notice by email or in-product message where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires a different process.
14. Contact
For questions about these Terms of use, contact us at legal@mylango.app. We will respond within a reasonable time in line with applicable regulatory expectations.
